emphasis on expanding cooperation between Iran and Turkey in the free trade zones

Reza Masroor met and talked with Mustafa Tuzcu, the Deputy Minister of Trade, and Ms. Amal, the head of the Free Zones of Turkey.

According to Freena, Reza Masroor, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones, visited Turkey at the invitation of the Turkish Ministry of Trade. In a meeting with Mustafa Tuzcu, he emphasized the importance of developing economic relations centered on the free zones of both countries.

He particularly stressed the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed at the eighth meeting of the Turkey-Iran High Cooperation Council and the creation of cooperation mechanisms within the framework of free and special economic zones.

Delegations from both countries also assessed cooperation capacities in the area of free and special economic zones and discussed joint projects and mechanisms to increase trade and investment between the two countries.

The Turkish Ministry of Trade issued a statement regarding this meeting, highlighting the determination of Iran and Turkey to develop their economic relations through trade and investment.

The ministry expressed appreciation for Reza Masroor's visit and his accompanying delegation to Turkey, stating that efforts will continue with strong determination to achieve the $30 billion trade volume target set by the presidents of the IRI and the Republic of Turkey.

It is noteworthy that Mohammad Hassan Habibollah, the ambassador of the IRI in Turkey, accompanied Reza Masroor during this visit.

Visiting the Istanbul Free Zone with the presence of Iran's Consul General in the city and holding meetings with Turkish traders and businessmen aimed at attracting foreign investment and increasing our country's exports to Turkey were other programs of Masroor during his trip to this country.
