with the efforts of the Salafchegan Special Economic Zone, the Strategic Studies Center for Special Economic Zones has been established

With the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Governance Issues Think Tank and the Salafchegan Special Economic Zone, the "Strategic Studies Center for Special Economic Zones" was launched.

According to Freena, following the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Governance Issues Think Tank and the Salafchegan Special Economic Zone, the Strategic Studies Center for Special Economic Zones was established to identify and address issues, obstacles, challenges, and improve governance processes in administrative, economic, industrial, and legal management systems.

Mahmoud Nazarnia, head of the Governance Issues Think Tank, mentioned during the unveiling of this center in the Salafchegan Special Economic Zone that the role of special economic zones in the country is very important in production, industry, and trade. However, from a legal perspective, these zones have faced neglect and unfavorable treatment. Complicated laws, inappropriate taxes, management and administration methods, customs duties, and many legal and environmental issues have become problems in these zones, and there is a need to solve these issues facing economic and production activities.

He added that the Strategic Studies Center for Special Economic Zones aims to address the legal issues of these zones by pursuing and solving them through legal reforms in the parliament and government.

The head of the Governance Issues Think Tank noted that producing policy reports, holding specialized and strategic meetings with officials, and pursuing national-level actions are among the center's upcoming programs.

Farshad Khoshnevisan, CEO of the Salafchegan Special Economic Zone, also stated during the unveiling of the Strategic Studies Center for Special Economic Zones that these zones face numerous legislative challenges. It is hoped that with the cooperation of the Governance Issues Think Tank and the establishment of this center, the fundamental problems of the special zones will be resolved, allowing these zones to focus on their main role of supporting production and industry.
